Pre-requisites: Advanced Maths Successful completion of subjects equivalent to Australian Year 12 mathematics that includes topics in algebra, calculus,circular (trigonometric) functions, coordinate geometry, probability and statistics. Extra requirements: Prior to selection, it is recommended that candidates complete a pilot aptitude skills assessment test. Such tests are conducted by CAE Oxford Aviation Academy. This could be at CAE OAA Melbourne or could be undertaken at a CAE OAA facility outside Australia. They are designed to determine a candidate's understanding of a career as a professional pilot and their suitability to undertake the program.The skills assessment test is typically composed of a series of computer-based assessments that cover pilot aptitude, including hand–eye coordination, motor skills and spatial awareness.lthough not an entry requirement, students must also satisfy the statutory Class 1 medical requirements of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (or equivalent ICAO State regulatory authority) prior to undertaking practical flying training (AVF practicum units).
